HA1 Task 2 – Artistic Styles

                                 Photorealism
It first started of in america in the 1960, it is where a painting looks like a photo and looks very real. and it has become very popular in art galleries it is art movement  Photo-realists typically projected a photographed image onto a canvas and then used an airbrush to reproduce the effect of a photo printed on glossy paper.

This looks like a photo but its not it is a painting

Cel-shading is an animation technique in which three-dimensional objects are rendered to appear two-dimensional, as if hand-drawn in the same manner as a cartoon or comic book and used a lot in computer games .

Out of these games i like photorealism more because it makes the experience a lot better. and jet set radio is to childish.

                                  Abstraction

Abstract art style employs lines and geometric shapes that are not meant to resemble anything in particular. Geometry Wars and Breakout are two well-known examples.Early game developers often chose abstract visuals, because real objects could only be crudely translated into game graphics at the time; this was especially true prior to the release of the NES, on consoles such as the Atari 2600.

                                 Exaggeration
Exaggeration is used in games, mostly in RPGs, this art style is used for anime and manga typically, this art style is where the artist exaggerates many things within the game, mostly games with a Japanese influence.
